Heatmiser UH8 – 8 Zone 230v Wiring Centre

Item Description:

The Heatmiser UH8 is designed to work with our 4 channel 230v time clock (TM4) and 230v Set back thermostat (DS-SB) but equally could be used with any 230v room thermostat.

Up to 8 zones can be controlled from the UH8. On board the UH8 are two heating time channels, each zone allows you to specify which time channel it should follow. 2 additional time channel connections are provided for hot water control or other auxiliary devices. On demand from any zone, a 230v output is provided to switch the relevant zone actuator, underfloor heating pump and valve. A volt free connection is supplied for the boiler, making it compatible with almost all types of boilers.

A simple slide switch makes zone 8 suitable for controlling a radiator zone. When used for controlling radiators, zone 8 does not enable the underfloor heating pump, valve and boiler. Up to 4 actuators can be connected to each zone.

Heatmiser UH8-RF

The Heatmiser UH8-RF is our 8 Zone wireless wiring centre designed to work with our Slimline-RF and neoAir Thermostats.

The UH8-RF provides central switching and is therefore ideally situated next to the underfloor heating manifold. 8 zones can be controlled as well as providing an output for a hot water cylinder. On demand from any zone, a 230v output is provided to switch the relevant zone actuators, underfloor heating pump and valve. A volt free connection is supplied for the boiler, making it compatible with almost all types of boilers. The boiler signal can also be sent via RF to the RF Switch, providing the installer a totally wireless solution.

Up to 6 actuators can be connected to each zone. An external aerial is available for use when the UH8-RF is being mounted in a metal cupboard or when the wireless signal is restricted.

A software option in the thermostat allows you to configure which zones are underfloor heating and which zones are radiators. Radiator zones will not enable the underfloor heating pump, valve and boiler when there is a call for heat. Radiator zones will not enable the underfloor heating pump, valve and boiler when there is a call for heat. Radiator zones should enable the boiler from the end switch of the valve.

The Heatmiser neoAir is a battery powered wireless thermostat and is compatible with our RF Switch /UH8-RF Wireless Receivers.

In addition, neoStat and neoAir communicate wirelessly to the neoHub to offer a reliable and scalable network system that you can control from your SmartPhone. The mains powered neoStat automatically repeats the data signal from other neoStat/neoAir in the home. If there are no neoStat’s installed, the neoAir communicates directly with the neoHub and so the neoPlug or Boost can be used to extend the communication distance.

The Heatmiser Uh6 is our 6 Zone underfloor heating wiring centre designed to work with our 230v Thermostats. When there’s a demand it is possible to set a timed delay, before activating the Pump & Heat outputs
The Uh6 wiring centre provides central switching and is therefore ideally situated next to the underfloor heating manifold. On demand from any zone, a 230v output is provided to switch the relevant zone actuators, underfloor heating pump and valve. A volt free connection is supplied for the boiler, making it compatible with almost all types of boilers.
During hot weather the heating may not be required as often, which means after long periods of the Ufh pump not being used, the pump can seize and refuse to operate. To prevent this, it is good practice to operate the pump once a day, the creepage function does this for you. Once enabled the Uh6 wiring centre will operate the pump for 1 minute, only if the outputs have not been operated by a thermostat, within the preceding 24 hours. This function does not operate the Heat output.
The Heatmiser Uh-6 Wiring Centre is a central control unit designed to streamline the installation and management of heating systems in residential or commercial buildings. Reliance Valves UFH Controls 240v wiring centre is an all-in-one junction box for underfloor heating systems.

Essential for centralising underfloor heating wiring, the wiring centre features 8 zone connections and is easily mounted and wired with a fully labelled circuit board.

All connections are hard wired for zone valves (for additional radiators or hot water motorized valves), actuators, pump and room thermostats.
